Chantal (Chanti) Medina is a Chicana interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Santa Maria, CA. She obtained her BFA in Art & Design with a concentration in Studio Art from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo in 2025. She is an emerging artist who has been focusing on muralism since graduating and has participated in public murals such as Santa Barbara's Bloomberg Philanthropies mural based on Oaxacan textiles (intersection of State and Carrillo St.).

In her practice she researches and makes her own personal meanings in patterns that are found in family photos and fashion. She comes from a family of charros, seamstresses, and immigrants which is incorporated and evident in her works. To Chanti, art is a form of preservation of her heritage and family traditions- a form of healing, a sense of tapping into spirituality, whimsy, (day)dreams, nightmares, femininity, and chicanismo.
